Situated in London, Capital Industrial is a commercial real estate company that currently owns approximately 2.8 million sq ft of industrial space, making them the largest owner (by number of units) in the UK capital.

Capital Industrial uses Podio extensively to monitor and track projects; a high volume of files are attached to items on a daily basis. The organisation faced a time consuming challenge whereby each attachment would need to be clicked, opened in a new tab/window, and viewed, before data could be moved across from the document to the item. 

Capital Industrial came to us for a solution that would enable them to view both item and attachment on one screen – saving time, and soothing levels of frustration!

the solution

The Oval team built a personalised Chrome extension for Capital Industrial. The extension creates a tab on each Podio item relating to its workspace, where it ‘reads’ the files attached, and displays them on the same page. No more navigating around numerous tabs to see information; everything is now on one page, reducing manual effort, and making life that little bit easier.
